Snacks and drinks were provided, and we did the Bebedero River Tour, Sloth encounter and Hanging Bridges. We had a lovely authentic lunch up in the mountains and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the experience.
As we were only in Costa Rica for one week (me, my wife and two boys, 11 and 14) staying at Dreams las Mareas having flown in from the UK, we wanted to get as much from a day excursion as possible. I found Yeudy on Trip Advisor and did my due diligence, reading the reviews and checking with the Costa Rica tourist board to see that he is approved by them (he is), and also viewing his website and Facebook page. Once I was satisfied he was what we were looking for, I began communicating with Yeudy via WhatsApp months before our departure.
He was fantastic! Timely voice messages responding to my queries, however inane they were, and never pressured for payment. He picked us up from Dreams at 7am with his driver David in a fully air conditioned mini bus with seat belts. Snacks and drinks were provided, and we did the Bebedero River Tour, Sloth encounter and Hanging Bridges. We had a lovely authentic lunch up in the mountains and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the experience. We saw: Sloths, crocodiles, toucans, iguanas, red eyed and poison dart frogs, Jesus Christ Lizards, capuchin and howler monkeys, humming birds and other things I've lost track of. Yeudy was able to educate and entertain in good measure, showing an excellent rapport with our two boys. He even looked up the football scores for us! Although you can no doubt get a cheaper deal from vendors on the beach, the tour (private - just our family of four on the minibus) that lasted from 7am - 8:30pm was worth every penny (or dollar). Based on the first great day, we booked the river cruise where we had Yeudy himself as our guide. Once again, the local knowledge was amazing and we learned a ton about Costa Rica during the drive. The river tour was great and we saw tons of animals, including 11 crocodiles.
We did 2 days of excursions with Yeudy during our stay at Dreams Las Mareas and both were fantastic. Great service, knowledgeable guides, excellent drivers (these are private tours). They brought water and snacks (including some local biscuits and empanadas with Yeudy on day 2) which really was a nice touch.
The first tour we did was a combination of the waterfall and sloth tour and we had Oscar as our guide that day. He was very knowledgeable about nature and animals and gave us great information as we drove to the attractions. We saw sloths, posion dart frogs and many birds on the sloth tour (where there was a local guide to walk us through the park and help us take pictures). We were originally supposed to do the hanging bridges as well, but the kids were tired, so Oscar suggested we do a tour of Liberia and took us to a local ice cream shop before the drive home.

After the tour we had a local lunch at the boat tour facility, which was probably the best food we had on the entire trip (and the food at Dreams is actually very good).
All in all, we would highly recommend doing tours with Yeudy when you are at Dreams or anywhere else near La Cruz.

Where do we start, Yeudy is an amazing individual. The moment we contacted him we spent hours talking back and forth as he answered all our questions and was very excited that we were so interested in his country. Yeudy is a very professional tour guild. His tours are private so you don't have to worry about the big buses and large groups as its one on one and filled with lots of info about everything you see. Yeudy also had water and plantain chips for us as this was a nice touch. He offers a lot of different excursion packages as well as private airport transfers that are priced well.
